Neal ZetterCCCP Workshops Ltd began in spring 2005 and consists solely of me - comedy performance poet and workshop leader Neal Zetter. My experience:

  • I have run hundreds of workshops in 30 of London's 33 boroughs (inc the City of London) and many outside the Capital
  • I have performed since 1989 in West End comedy and poetry clubs, theatres, pubs, music venues, schools, colleges, the Royal Festival Hall, private parties etc
  • I run a quarterly club - Word Up Walthamstow - in East London where I put together, promote and compère adult comedy performance poetry events showcasing established and rising poetry talent from across the UK
  • I released a 16-track adult poetry CD in May 2008 - `Scrabble on Sunday'
  • I have been published in the Guardian, on London’s buses and in various other media
  • I spent 25 years in senior management, communications and mentoring roles prior to taking up poetry full-time.

Key Successes/Projects

  • Resident Poet at Davies Lane Primary School, Waltham Forest, running literacy booster workshops for yrs 1-6, weekly for last four whole academic years and still ongoing, 2008-12
  • Running projects to engage low literacy students/pupils at Whitmore High School (Harrow), Newman Catholic College (Brent), Hampstead High School (Camden) and St Mary's (Wandsworth) and Oakington Manor (Brent) primary schools, 2010-2012 
  • Resident Poet with adults at Homerton Hospital Brain Injury Unit, Jan-Sept 2009
  • Resident Poet at Enfield's KS3/4 PRU for excluded teenagers weekly, 2008-10
  • Resident Poet at Newham Hospital for teens with mental health issues, 2011-12 
  • Running G&T `Masterclasses' with all Enfield primary schools (2009-10) and a dozen schools (primary and secondary) in Gravesham Excellence Cluster (Kent), 2009
  • Regular workshops with the Black People's Mental Health Association, Waltham Forest, 2009-2011.
