When school finished at half past three

I didn’t go home unfortunately

‘Cause I messed around in history

Chemistry, biology and literacy

My teacher said I had to pay the penalty

I got a detention

Sir said I attract too much negative attention

If I attract any more I’ll receive a suspension

My punishment was writing many essays and lines

On how to show respect and listen all the time

Concentrate on sharpening those ears of mine

Though I pleaded like an innocent “It wasn’t my fault”
