Good Morning
Alarm…snooze button
Alarm…snooze button
Alarm…snooze button
Alarm…UP!
I pour my tea into a cup
And gulp it down
Though I can’t taste it
And then I’ve got no time
To eat my toast
I have to waste it
Hush hush
The family’s still asleep
But me
I have to rush
To catch the train
Or I’ll be late
Yet again
Grab the newspaper
Polish my shoes
Let the cat out
While I listen to the early morning news
I straighten up my tie
Three minutes to the station
Out the door I fly
I’m on my way
Jogging down the road
In my suit
Till I hear someone say
“Where you going Neal -
It’s Saturday?”
